About Us

According to the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act, 2006, MSME stands for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development and is classified into two sections, namely, the manufacturing section and the service section. Manufacturing Enterprises are those that are engaged in the manufacture or production of goods or employing plant and machinery in the process of value addition to the final product having a distinct name or character or use. Service Enterprises are those that are engaged in providing or rendering of services and are defined in terms of investment in equipment. MSMEs are primarily labour oriented.In the manufacturing sector, micro enterprises are those with an investment of that less than 25lakhs in plant and machinery. Small enterprises are those with an investment of that less than Rs 5crore in plant and machinery. Medium enterprises are those with an investment of that less than Rs.10crores in plant and machinery.In the service sector, micro enterprises are those with an investment of that less than Rs. 10lakh in equipment. Small enterprises are those with an investment of that less than Rs. 2crores in equipment. Medium enterprises are those with an investment of that less than Rs. 5crores in equipment.

MSME means Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises. The MSME are classified into two sections, namely, the manufacturing section and the service section. Manufacturing Enterprises are those that are engaged in the manufacture or production of goods. Service Enterprises are those that are engaged in providing or rendering of services and are defined in terms of investment in equipment.
In the Manufacturing Sector,Micro enterprises - investment of that less than Rs. 25Lakhs in plant and machinery.Small enterprises - investment of that less than Rs 5crores in plant and machinery.Medium enterprises - investment of that less than Rs. 10crores in plant and machinery In the service sector, Micro enterprises - investment of that less than Rs. 10 Lakh in equipment. Small enterprises - investment of that less than Rs. 2crores in equipment.Medium enterprises - investment of that less than Rs. 5crores in equipment.
The Government has not yet made the registration of MSME mandatory. However it is beneficial to get one’s business registered as various benefits can be availed of.
The Provisional Registration Certificate (PRC) is valid for a fixed period of 5 years.
Not all businesses can obtain Udyog Aadhar registration. Only those entities that could be classified as a micro, small or medium enterprise based on investment in plant and machinery is eligible for Udyog Aadhar.
Business Address Proof, Copies of Sale Bill and Purchase Bill, Partnership Deed/ MoA and AoA, Copy of Licenses and Bills of Machinery Purchased are required for MSME Registration.
The Ministry of MSME provides Udyog Aadhar which is a unique 12-digit Government identification number for the small and medium enterprises to register them as MSME.
The original value of the plant and machinery must be taken into account.
If the MSE unit does not fulfil its obligations to the lender, the Trust would make good the loss incurred by the lender up to 85% of the outstanding amount in default (max. Rs. 100Lakh), as per the Credit Guarantee scheme (CGS).
A scheme has been implemented called The Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (CLCSS) for technology upgradation of MSMEs. Under the scheme, 15% capital subsidy (maximum Rs 15lakh) is provided to the eligible MSEs for upgrading their technology by approaching the appropriate authority for approval as well as the financial institution for sanctioning the term loan for the upgradation.
Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP) has been implemented wherein support is provided for general awareness, counselling, motivation, exposure visits, seminars, workshops and training programmes, setting up of Common Facility Centres, etc

Tool Rooms are equipped with the most advanced technology, in designing and manufacturing of quality tools, which are important for producing quality products. Training programmes are also conducted to improve skilled manpower in the industry.
The National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme aims to improve manufacturing competitiveness by implementing various schemes like Promotion of Information & Communication Tools, Technology and Quality Up gradation, Marketing Assistance, Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Scheme and awareness on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
conservation in the manufacturing process for SMEs? “Technology and Quality Upgradation Support (TEQUP)” has been implemented which focuses on enhancing competitiveness of MSME through Energy Efficiency and Product Quality Certification. A capital subsidy of 25% of the project cost (maximum Rs. 10lakh) shall be provided to the registered MSME units.
The TEQUP scheme includes Product Quality Certification. The objective is for MSMEs to acquire Product Certification Licenses thereby improving competitiveness. MSMEs will be given subsidy to the extent of 75% of the actual expenditure, towards licensing of product. As per national standards, a maximum of Rs. 1.5Lakh and as per International Standards, a maximum of Rs. 2Lakhs will be given.
The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) scheme has been implemented to assist MSMEs to adopt ICT Tools and Applications in production and business processes, and improve their productivity and competitiveness in the Market.
Under the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme (NMCP) a scheme has been implemented called the “Building Awareness on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)” for the MSME. The objective of the scheme is to enhance awareness about Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) to take necessary measures for the protecting their ideas and business strategies.
The Performance & Credit Rating Scheme has been introduced to provide a third party opinion on the capabilities and creditworthiness of MSMEs. With the analysis by the agencies, the strengths and weaknesses of the MSMEs will also be reflected, this enabling the enterprises in question to undertake the necessary decisions. Rating under the scheme is being carried out through agencies like CRISIL, CARE, etc.
The Assisting to Training Institutions Scheme has been implemented to give financial assistance for establishment of new institutions, improving infrastructure, etc. Capital grant will be provided for creation/strengthening of infrastructure and programme support for conducting programmes of development of entrepreneurship and skill.
Under the International Cooperation Scheme, various industries, societies and trusts are given financial assistance to commission of MSMEs to other countries for international exhibitions, trade fairs, international conferences, etc. The organisations that are eligible under the prescribed stipulations must apply to the Ministry.
